Terms of Use

These terms outline expected use, release caveats, and license boundaries for the PastePrompt macOS app.

Plain-language policy

This page summarizes the current PastePrompt policy in plain language. It is not legal advice; if formal contract terms apply to your purchase or organization, those written terms control.

Use of PastePrompt

PastePrompt is provided as a macOS context-building tool for users who prepare source code, Git diffs, prompt instructions, and related metadata for their own review workflows. You are responsible for using the app lawfully and only with repositories you are authorized to access and process.

License to use the app

Subject to the applicable plan and payment terms, PastePrompt grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app. Free, Pro, Founder, and team use are governed by the plan, receipt, and any written terms provided at purchase.

User responsibility for code and LLM outputs

You decide which files to select, copy, export, paste, attach, or share. PastePrompt does not replace manual review, does not provide legal or security certification, and does not guarantee the correctness of output from ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, local models, or other LLM tools.

Release caveat

PastePrompt releases can contain bugs, incomplete documentation, workflow changes, install caveats, and licensing behavior that evolves over time. Avoid relying on the app as the only copy of important data.

Paid license terms

Paid license duration, feature access, update access, support, refund eligibility, transfer rights, team use, and Founder Lifetime scope are governed by the written purchase terms and signed license file delivered after purchase. License files are personal credentials and must not be shared with unauthorized users. Do not infer rights beyond the written terms.

App download and license files

The PastePrompt DMG may be distributed publicly. The license file is separate from the app download and is issued to the buyer email. The initial offline-license flow does not enforce a device activation count, but sharing, reselling, or publishing license files violates these terms unless a separate written agreement allows it.

No warranty

PastePrompt is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Releases may contain defects or workflow changes.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PastePrompt is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, business, goodwill, or source-code confidentiality caused by user sharing decisions.

Governing law

If a separate written agreement applies to your purchase, that agreement controls governing law and venue. Otherwise, contact support before purchase if your organization requires specific legal terms.
