Offline License
PastePrompt paid licenses are delivered as signed license files that the app verifies locally. This keeps license verification separate from repository contents and preserves the local-first workflow.
How it works
- You download the public PastePrompt DMG.
- You purchase Founder or Pro through the configured launch flow.
- You receive a signed license file issued to your buyer email.
- You import the file into PastePrompt.
- The app verifies the license signature locally.
- Paid features unlock according to the license terms.
The DMG is not secret and can be shared. The license file is personal and should be kept private.
What not to do
- Do not edit the file.
- Do not commit the license file to a repository.
- Do not share the license file with other users.
- Do not post the license file in public issue trackers, chats, or screenshots.
- Do not share the file in support tickets unless support explicitly asks for the license metadata and you are comfortable sharing it.
Limitations
Offline licenses are simple and private, but they do not enforce a per-device activation count in the initial launch flow. If a license file is copied, another person may be able to import it. Sharing license files is prohibited by the license terms, and stricter online activation may be added later if abuse becomes a practical problem.
